Unlike Dermal Fillers which add volume to specific areas, Profhilo® works to lift the whole of your complexion. Normally within a few weeks your skin will feel firmer and more glowing. As an injection treatment the risks are lower than a invasive plastic surgery treatment for say skin tightening.
Ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the right area of the skin. Unlike wrinkle reducing and dermal filler treatments, Profhilo stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin.
Profhilo is the first BDDE-free stabilised injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) based product for treating skin laxity. With 64mg per 2ml Profhilo has one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid available.
As a stabilised product, the activity on dermal cells will last longer than that of a non-stabilised gel. During this time the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid.
The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement, which normally includes boosting, tightening and lifting effects.

Profhilo® is most commonly used on the face and neck. It is also useful in revitalising the backs of hands and chest or decollete. Profhilo treatment reduces sagging and crepey skin, leading to a firmer and more youthful appearance.
We advise that you have two treatments normally within four weeks. Some patients have reported seeing results in their first week, but the best outcomes of Profhilo® treatment tend to be four weeks after your second treatment.
The results from Profhilo® treatments typically last for up to six months, but results can vary from person to person and may last longer or in some cases shorter than this.
For a few days before your treatment, we advise that you avoid alcohol and do not take anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen so that bruising can be minimised. Please attend your treatment appointment without face make-up. We don’t expect that profhilo® treatment should affect your normal daily routines, however, we do advise that you avoid gym, sauna or swimming on the same day as your treatment.
