RADIESSE® is an injectable dermal filler that temporarily adds volume to help smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and gives an immediate lifting and firming effect on the skin. Once injected, RADIESSE® directly provides volume and lift, it contains carefully formulated calcium-based microspheres and a gel. Both the gel and the microspheres are completely broken down by the body over time.
The unique formulation of RADIESSE® stimulates the production of new collagen, which results in increased volume that may last a year or more in many patients. Thanks to this method of wrinkle correction, RADIESSE® is popular with some injectable filler patients.
We will ask you to arrive early for your appointment so we can apply some local anaesthetic cream to your face. Some dermal fillers also now actually contain lidocaine anaesthetic, however, you may still feel some moderate discomfort and even notice a brief burning sensation at the injection site. After treatment, you may use an ice pack to help calm your skin.
Once injected, RADIESSE® provides immediate volume and correction but also continues to work by stimulating the skin to produce its own natural collagen. Over time, the gel is absorbed and the body metabolizes the CaHA-microspheres, leaving behind only the skin's natural collagen.

RADIESSE is made of tiny calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel. The calcium microspheres are similar to minerals found naturally in the body so allergy testing is not required. Over time, the body absorbs the microspheres and gel, leaving behind only natural collagen. Radiesse collagen stimulator injections start with a face to face consultation with your own Nurse practitioner. You will discuss your ideal treatment requirements and ask any questions and we will agree a treatment plan and cost with you then. The cost as with all dermal fillers depends on your objectives. We always remember you are paying for our experience and time as well as a dermal filler.
