Our system uses two powerful technologies at the same time to give the best treatment results. Skin tightening & rejuvenation treatment is performed using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and Radio Frequency (RF) which are both used to create some outstanding improvements;
Skin tightening heats and increases collagen production and therefore gives a lifted and tighter skin. Ideally, we treat the sides of your face to tighten the skin and overcome the effects of gravity. Skin rejuvenation or skin tightening combination treatments are the ultimate procedures for improved texture, whilst also lifting and smoothing the skin.
You will probably see instant results and feel tighter skin. However, the reproduction of your collagen normally takes 2 or 3 months, so you will continue to see improvements after your treatment.
Results have been shown to last for one to two years, depending on the nature of your skin, your own skincare regime after treatment and your exposure to UV & sunlight.
Treatment stimulates your body's natural healing in the cells and connective tissues causing your body to reproduce collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid that may have been lost over time.
Treatment is generally quite comfortable and pain free. As this treatment does not involve any injections or needles it is ideal if you would rather avoid these.
Radio Frequency treatment has many benefits and is apparently becoming increasing popular with several celebrities such as; Kylie Minogue, Amanda Holden and Mel B now favouring the treatment.
Radio frequency skin tightening (RF) is an aesthetic technique that uses RF energy to heat tissue and stimulate sub-dermal collagen production in order to reduce the appearance of fine lines and loose skin.
At Qutis we use the Syneron patented elos™ (electro-optical synergy) technology — the combined energy technology that uses bipolar radio frequency and light energies. The technique induces tissue remodelling and production of new collagen and elastin.
During this procedure, targeted radio frequencies are used to heat beneath your skin, breaking down depleted collagen and creating a firmer, more youthful look. The radio frequency treatment will tighten your skin and reduce some of the signs of ageing, such as wrinkles.
Collagen is produced by the body, as a response to treatment, over three or four weeks, resulting in a younger-looking, dewy, plumped skin surface.
Changes are often seen immediately in the skin although the full results normally take three to four weeks. Initially, the pigment darkens and then lightens over 7-10 days, red veins become brighter then diminish or disappear completely and are gradually reabsorbed naturally by the body’s immune system.
Radio Frequency is for anybody who wishes to combat the signs of ageing, acne scarring, excess skin, cellulite or stretch marks without the downtime, discomfort or expense of cosmetic surgery.
At Qutis, we offer two types of skin resurfacing with associated tightening. We use radio frequency (RF) in the form of a "Syneron eMatrix" device and we use an "erbium YAG laser" from a "Lynton 3Juve" System. Both these systems are available at different clinics and any of our reception team can help you with booking an appointment.
Treatment may not possible if you have recent sun exposure or if you are taking light sensitive drugs or have a pacemaker. A full consultation is carried out before treatment to ensure you are suitable. For the best results, a minimum of three treatments are recommended, and some customers have up to five with an excellent outcome.
After the treatment, the skin may feel tight and warm with mild redness. We will advise you to use our topical skin protocol following your treatment and effects normally subside within 36 hours.
The answer is ‘yes’, monthly treatment for 12 months will really smooth out acne scars and even help stretch marks!

In the second picture above you can see how much the skin texture and quality has improved after four treatments. The pores are much more closed and the skin looks brighter. IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) included in this treatment plan has reduced the thread veins and sun damage spots around the nose and eyes.
Emma has been coming to Qutis clinics for about 10 years You will see from the photographs that she looks younger now than she did 10 years ago! She reasons that this has been down to sensible management of her complexion and skin as well as replacing loss of volume and reducing wrinkles. Emma has invested in intense pulse light (IPL) treatments to enhance collagen and erase her sun damage pigmentation. She’s also chosen laser resurfacing treatment in order to get rid of some scars and to refine her complexion. She has regular, moderate amounts of Anti Wrinkle Treatment and Dermal Fillers to her cheeks, jowls and lips; the results speak for themselves. In the after photo (above right) it is clear to see Emma has a much clearer complexion than ten years ago. Her skin appears so much healthier, as the texture is greatly improved due to it being plumper, well-hydrated and the skin elasticity has been restored. All of this has had an impact on Emma's fine lines and wrinkles also, as despite the second photo being taken ten years on from the first, all of the sagging, wrinkled skin under the eye and the deep nasolabial folds have almost disappeared.
